This program offers Nigerian students the opportunity to participate in the educational and cultural program of the category of work and travel in the United States and to share their acquired skills and experience upon their return to the country. To participate in this program, the applicant must be:

– Skills training in areas like hospitality, agriculture, technology, and more
– Work experience and internships to apply your skills and gain practical knowledge in Nigeria
– Cultural immersion and community engagement to deepen your understanding of Nigeria
– Travel excursions to explore Nigeria’s rich heritage and natural beauty

Additionally, we offer a unique opportunity to gain work experience in the USA through our international work and travel programs. This allows you to:

– Gain valuable work experience in your chosen field in the USA
– Develop new skills and enhance your employability
– Explore American culture and way of life
– Build a network of professional contacts and friends globally

To be eligible for our J1 Work and Travel program in the USA, you must:

– Be between the ages of 18 and 30
– Be a full-time student currently attending a course of study at a university
– Have completed at least one semester of a post-secondary study program
– Not have completed your final year of study
– Have completed a full degree program in your home country (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) is not required, but you must be enrolled in a degree program
– Hold a valid international passport
– Meet the requirements for a J1 visa, including:
– Proof of sufficient funds for living expenses in the USA
– Health insurance that covers you in the USA
– A sponsor organization (which we can provide)
– A clear police record
– Be able to prove an intermediate level of English through:
– One or multiple interviews conducted in English
– English language proficiency assessments or tests.
– Be able to provide:
– A medical report from a licensed physician
– A police report from your local authorities
– Agree to undergo a background check
– Attend all required personal one-on-one interviews
– Submit the following documents:
– A 1-page essay on why you feel an international program would benefit you when you return to your home country
– A written letter from your school, on the school letterhead and signed in original, certifying that you are a bonafide and current full-time university student in your home country
– A parental consent letter that will be verified by VocationalTravelNigeria representatives
